The site that I liked the most is astronomy cast. I like this site because it gives a list of free aggregator sites for Windows PCs, Macs, and Linux. It also explains the benefits of an aggregator.

Forbes site for Communication advice

The site that I liked the most that provides communication advice is an article from forbes.com. I liked the article because it talks about the importance of focusing on others rather than yourself when communicating.

Unit 7 Podcast Script

When I found out I was pregnant with my first child 11 years ago, I decided that I would crochet her and any following children a baby blanket. All went well and each of my first three children have their very own blanket. Now we come to my youngest, who is 8 months old, and I have still yet to complete her blanket. This is my current frustration. I worked diligently to complete her blanket before her birth, then my plans went astray as I have been unable to find the yarn that I need to complete the blanket. Every time I go to the store, it is nowhere to be found. I have even tried to find it online and it seems to always be out of stock. Now I am faced with two solutions that I can think of: 1) I could try and find a different color scheme that wouldn't look horrible with the colors that I am currently using or 2) start a new blanket. I really don't want to  crochet an entirely new blanket for her as I worked so hard on the first one but I haven't seen any yarn that would suit my current color scheme. A second dilemma I am facing is that I am currently 6 months pregnant with my fifth child and need to make a blanket for him as well. So, this means that if I choose to start over, I will need to crochet two blankets and hopefully have them finished before the new baby gets here. I want all of my children to have something by which to remember their  childhood and feel that a blanket from mom is one of the best ways to show my love for them and give them a good memory at the same time.

Unit 5 Tips for choosing colors

A tip for choosing colors:

Ø  Make sure your colors are not distracting and allow for easy reading of your blog. If your colors are not appealing and hard to read, you will lose your audience.

My thoughts of the "hat tip"

For me a "hat tip" means giving credit to where it's due. Such as when you borrow an idea or an image from someone else, you would want to make sure that person received credit  and you didn't claim the idea or image as your own. It something or someone you want to give credit to for influencing or encouraging you. I could give a "hat tip" to my daughter's unfinished baby blanket as inspiration for creating this blog.

Unit 6 Microblog Tip( adding images to your blog)

Adding an image to your microblog gives you a chance to market your work and connect to your audience. I can use images on this blog to show my audience things that I have created by crocheting and possibly use these images to expand my audience and sell items that I make. You can add images to your page by clicking the insert image icon that is located on the toolbar above where you type text when creating a new blog for your page.
